Bios & Classes
We at Lindy and Blues are honored to present this Saturday Workshop with Sharon Davis & Kevin St. Laurent. We believe these two to be some of the best dancers in the world, and by shear luck, we're able to bring them to you.
This workshop is intended for dancers who are familiar with Lindy Hop and are comfortable doing a swing-out. No partner is required to attend the workshop; however, we will be capping the number of leads and follows to provide a balanced class.
Kevin St. Laurent (USA)
Kevin St. Laurent is internationally recognized for his energy and innovation as a Lindy Hop dancer, instructor, performer and choreographer. His creativity on the dance floor stems from a command of musicality and partner connection. As an instructor, he concentrates on the technique of these elements at all levels, teaching his students the ability to adapt the style of their dance to that of the music and to create a dynamic dance with their partner.
Sharon Davis (Australia)
Hailing from Perth in Western Australia, Sharon has been performing, teaching and competing in vintage jazz dances since 2001. In Lindy Hop, Blues and Charleston, Sharon is admired for her unique and feminine style, musicality and energy. Sharon is an Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown champion, and has claimed numerous awards in Australia and internationally. With her bright and bubbly personality, Sharon’s teaching style is energetic, creative and fun.
The classes will be progressive, so if you take all 4, they will build on concepts; however, Sharon says that they won't build in such a critical way that you won't be able to take individual classes.
